Translation is not a simple service to provide. Any translation solution requires not only native and specialized translators, qualified in translation or with major industry experience, but also a team of qualified, experienced and flexible professionals. Below is a description of what happens to your documents at Fastrad in order to ensure the end result is what you expect.
In this stage, your files are received and analyzed.
We process the files in specific formats (extracting PDS, converting PowerPoint into TTX, etc.)
Based on the word count, type of text and other specifications, your PM (Project Manager) schedules time requirements for translating, editing, reviewing and quality analysis. According to client requirements, this schedule may also include DTP.
We calculate the number of translators required to carry out the project on time.
The files are numbered for tracking purposes.
We organize internal or client glossaries. Fastrad has developed one of the most widely consulted Internet glossaries used by translators the world over, supporting translators when projects involve more complicated terminology. Any client reference file is now analyzed.
We use cutting-edge tools to guarantee text consistency. Future projects must always correspond to previous projects in relation to terminology and vocabulary used, which is why we use translation memories to support this process.
The package (including the translation files, internal or client glossaries, reference material and translation memories) is sent to the selected translator.
The translator (or translators) executes the project using Trados, a tool that guarantees translation consistency and supports terminology and context verification.
The translator also follows specific project instructions, depending on client requirements.
The translator reviews the work and sends the translated files back.
The editor receives the same package sent to the translator, including the translated files. The editor analyses grammar, spelling and text flow as well as application of specific glossaries.
Quality translation requires constant investment in people and tools. Fastrad depends mainly on the quality of its translators in order to offer the highest quality solutions, however larger projects also require specific tools used to analyze project quality. These tools help verify the correct translation of numbers (stops and commas may differ from one language to another), values (currency, weight, distance, etc) and, when the project is split up among several translators, it helps to standardize the translation of similar terms and phrases throughout the body of documents.
Reviewing involves a wider ranging analysis of the material, based on the textual style, target market and local market language.
Your translated files are exported from the translation format into the original format.
Your translated files are delivered!
Now you know how Fastrad operates, using the latest management processes and supports tools to guarantee very high quality translation.
And that's not all...
We believe in partnership with our clients, which is why your PM will contact you for feedback on the translation project. We love compliments, but we know that criticism is even more important as we constantly seek to improve service quality.
